Mondays

Black box collection on alternate Mondays. Click here for the website giving details of collections.

Garden waste collections - if you have opted in to the chargeable garden waste collections these are collected on alternate Mondays. For further information see www.wiltshire.gov.uk/rubbish-collection-days.

Autumn Club, 2pm - 4pm on alternate Mondays (for dates, etc, please look at Autumn Club's page).

Bell-ringing, 7pm to 8pm in St Michael & All Angels Church. No strength needed, expert and safe tuition given, all free. Teenagers to pensioners – all ages welcome! Please call Diane for more details – 07768 053116.

Tuesdays

Mobile library every 4 weeks (fortnightly at the school). This vehicle has full disabled access. It arrives at the Old Post Office, Stubbs Lane (near the telephone box) at 10.10am until 10.30am every four weeks. It also visits the school every fortnight on a Tuesday from 9.15am to 10am, where it is open to the general public (and schoolchildren during term time). Pilates on Tuesday evenings (apart from WI night - see "Dates For Your Diary"). Beginners at 6pm to 7pm and Improvers at 7.15pm to 8.15pm. Thursdays

Salsa classes, from 8.30pm in the village hall (please check dates below as Salsa doesn't run in the village hall when there's a parish council meeting). Beginners welcome. Run on a drop in and dance, pay-as-you-go basis by our new instructor, Anthony. Bring your own refreshments and no stilettos please. Details from Linda Durno on (01249) 750514.

Fridays

Refuse collection on alternate Fridays. Bank holiday collections link. 
Blue lidded plastic & cardboard wheelie bin collection on different alternate Fridays to the refuse and garden collections.

Women Out Walking
WOW meets each month, 10am at the end of The Close, for a gentle walk and friendly chat. Details from Delcia Fussell on (01249) 750529. Walk dates below - please note that WOW walks are dog-free.

Fish & chips and curry night at Kington St Michael Club, from 5pm to 7.45pm - to eat in or take away. The Club now offers GLUTEN FREE fish and chips, on request. Please telephone in advance on Friday evenings from 5pm, on (01249) 750336.

Dog Training
Every Friday evening in the village hall; to book a place please contact Julie on (01249) 650062.

Saturdays

Parish Council meeting, 7.45pm in the village hall; all welcome.  AGENDA

Thursday 26th October:
Cider and Sausage Night in The Jolly Huntsman. A buffet of delicious locally-produced sausages and a selection of traditional scrumpy ciders. £10.95 per head.  Booking advisable, though not essential. Call (01249) 750305.

Saturday 28th October:
Halloween Party
, 6pm at Kington Club - free entry.  Come along to the Club's fancy dress Halloween party, featuring wonderful magician and children's entertainer, Dave Hickory.  Dave will bring along his disco and do balloon modelling.  Hot dogs £2.

Monday 30th October:
Autumn Club
, 2pm in the village hall, when Susan Marshfield will give a talk entitled "Lasting Impressions".

Saturday 4th November:
1. Bonfire Night. 
The popular annual village bonfire and fireworks event will take place at KSM QE2 Field. Gates open at 5pm, bonfire lighting at 6pm, fireworks at 6.45pm. All advance tickets are £3.50 from KSM Village Shop. On the gate: adults £5, children £4 and under 5s free. Licensed bar, quality sausages and jacket spuds. All proceeds to KSM QE2 Field.

2. Karaoke night with Disco Dave, 8.30pm at Kington Club.  Come along and join in the fun or just listen to our regular crooners!  All welcome - free entry.

Quiz
night, 7.30pm at Kington St Michael School, with quizmaster Lee Churchill.  Raffle. Teams of four - tickets £5 each to include nibbles.


Tuesday 14th November:
WI (KSM)
, meeting at 7.30pm in the village hall, when Shaun McCormack will talk on "The Queen's Bodyguard of the Yeoman of the Guard".  The competition is for a souvenir of London.  Visitors are welcome; call (01249) 653693.

Newsletter deadline.

Thursday 16th November:
Parish Council meeting, 7.45pm in the village hall; all welcome. 

Monday 20th November:
All Angels WI, meeting at 8pm in the village hall, for a chocolate making session.

Monday 27th November:
1. Autumn Club
, 2pm in the village hall, with a visit from a Sainsbury's representative.
2. Film Night, showing "Hidden Figures (PG) in the village hall.  A drama, based on true events, about a group of African-American women, who were hired by NASA for their skills in mathematics, to be a part of America's space programme in the 1960s.” Starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe, Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst & Jim Parsons.  Tickets £7 on the door or from Kington St Michael village shop.  Doors open 7pm, show starts 7.30pm, with the main film starting at 8pm. Christmas Fayre
, 10am – 2pm in the village hall.  Featuring seasonal stalls and refreshments plus the sloe gin, mince pie and children Christmas card competitions. More details to follow.
