Mondays

Black box collection on alternate Mondays. Click here for the website giving details of collections.

Garden waste collections - if you have opted in to the chargeable garden waste collections these are collected on alternate Mondays. For further information see www.wiltshire.gov.uk/rubbish-collection-days.

Autumn Club, 2pm - 4pm on alternate Mondays (for dates, etc, please look at Autumn Club's page).

Bell-ringing, 7pm to 8pm in St Michael & All Angels Church. No strength needed, expert and safe tuition given, all free. Teenagers to pensioners – all ages welcome! Please call Diane for more details – 07768 053116.

Tuesdays

Mobile library every 4 weeks (fortnightly at the school). This vehicle has full disabled access. It arrives at the Old Post Office, Stubbs Lane (near the telephone box) at 10.10am until 10.30am every four weeks. It also visits the school every fortnight on a Tuesday from 9.15am to 10am, where it is open to the general public (and schoolchildren during term time). Pilates on Tuesday evenings (apart from WI night - see "Dates For Your Diary"). Beginners at 6pm to 7pm and Improvers at 7.15pm to 8.15pm. Thursdays

Brownies, term-time in the school hall. Please visit the Brownie's webpage.

Salsa classes, from 8.30pm in the village hall (please check dates below as Salsa doesn't run in the village hall when there's a parish council meeting). Beginners welcome. Run on a drop in and dance, pay-as-you-go basis by our new instructor, Anthony. Bring your own refreshments and no stilettos please. Details from Linda Durno on (01249) 750514.

Fridays

Refuse collection on alternate Fridays. Bank holiday collections link. 
Blue lidded plastic & cardboard wheelie bin collection on different alternate Fridays to the refuse and garden collections.

Women Out Walking
WOW meets each month, 10am at the end of The Close, for a gentle walk and friendly chat. Details from Delcia Fussell on (01249) 750529. Walk dates below - please note that WOW walks are dog-free.

Fish & chips night at Kington St Michael Club, from 5pm to 8pm - to eat in or take away. Sausages, burgers, veggie burgers and chicken nuggets.  Please note that the free delivery service within the village (from 5pm - 6pm, with cash on delivery) will end on March 3rd.  The Club now offers GLUTEN FREE fish and chips, on request. Please telephone in advance on Friday evenings from 5pm, on (01249) 750336.

Dog Training
Every Friday evening in the village hall; to book a place please contact Julie on (01249) 650062.

2. National Cream Tea Day in Folly Row Café. Go along and enjoy a selection of cream teas with a twist! A chance to treat yourself to this wonderful British tradition. 50p off any cream tea - available all day.

Saturday 1st July:
School fete
at Kington St Michael School,11.30am – 2pm. There will be a barbecue, licensed bar, silent auction, games, cakes, a raffle, refreshments, a bouncy castle, tug-of-war, tombola, and a selection of stalls. All proceeds go to the Parents and Friends of Kington St Michael School.

Monday 3rd July:
Autumn Club, 2pm in the village hall. Rosie will talk about living on a small yacht.

WI (KSM) meeting at 7.30pm in the village hall, with "Tales of a Midwife" from Dorothy Cook.  The competition is for an early childhood memory.  Visitors are welcome; call (01249) 653693.

Fun in the Sun returns to Kington St Michael this summer. These FREE multi-sports sessions are for boys and girls age 5 – 11 and take place on 24th & 31st July and 7th & 14th August from 2.30pm to 4pm at the recreation field (if it’s raining then the venue will be the village hall).
Activities include athletics, dodge ball, football, hockey, rounders, cricket and basketball. There are 36 places available per session with first come, first served for each session.
Consent forms can be downloaded from www.wiltshire.gov.uk/leisure-fun-in-the-sun or collect from the village shop nearer the time. Consent forms must be completed in advance and returned at the first session to be attended.

Flower, Produce & Craft Show
, 3pm in the village hall, with admission by donation, followed by an auction of produce at 4pm. Tea and cakes and a raffle.


Sunday 30th July:
FOSMAA Open Gardens Picnic Day
, 12.30pm - 4pm, with a prize treasure hunt for all ages around the gardens of Little Minchin and The Old Rectory in Stubbs Lane; £1 entry.  Entry to the gardens is by donation; take  a picnic lunch and rug/chairs.  From 3pm cream teas will be available at The Old Rectory at £4.  All proceeds go to FOSMAA to create a community-friendly church building.  If it rains the event will move in to St Michael & All Angels Church.

will be performing at The Jolly Huntsman.

Sunday 27th August:
Fun Family Day
, 1pm - 5pm on the QE2 field.  A fun day featuring soft ball (teams of 8), welly wanging, bouncy castle, a BBQ, bar, tombola, tug-of-war (8 per team), egg & spoon race, sack race, etc.  Prizes!  All welcome. (Tug-of-war form & rules)

Fun Day & Teddy Bears Parachuting,
2pm at All Angels Church, plus a free flying bird ofprey in the church - details to follow.  In aid of FOSMAA.

, meeting at 7.30pm in the village hall, when Andrew Skelton will talk on Wpmen of Chippenham.  The competition is for 50 words on inspirational women.  Visitors are welcome; call (01249) 653693.

The Mangled Wurzels
