Mondays

Black box collection on alternate Mondays. Click here for the website giving details of collections.

Garden waste collections - if you have opted in to the chargeable garden waste collections these are collected on alternate Mondays. For further information see www.wiltshire.gov.uk/rubbish-collection-days.

Autumn Club, 2pm - 4pm on alternate Mondays (for dates, etc, please look at Autumn Club's page).

Bell-ringing, 7pm to 8pm in St Michael & All Angels Church. No strength needed, expert and safe tuition given, all free. Teenagers to pensioners – all ages welcome! Please call Diane for more details – 07768 053116.

Tuesdays

Mobile library every 4 weeks (fortnightly at the school). This vehicle has full disabled access. It arrives at the Old Post Office, Stubbs Lane (near the telephone box) at 10.10am until 10.30am every four weeks. It also visits the school every fortnight on a Tuesday from 9.15am to 10am, where it is open to the general public (and schoolchildren during term time). Pilates on Tuesday evenings (apart from WI night - see "Dates For Your Diary"). Beginners at 6pm to 7pm and Improvers at 7.15pm to 8.15pm. Curry Nights in Kington St Michael Club, 7pm - 9pm, with a variety of curries and sides. Eat in or take away. Call (01249) 750336.

Thursdays

Salsa classes, from 8.30pm in the village hall (please check dates below as Salsa doesn't run in the village hall when there's a parish council meeting). Beginners welcome. Run on a drop in and dance, pay-as-you-go basis by our new instructor, Anthony. Bring your own refreshments and no stilettos please. Details from Linda Durno on (01249) 750514.

Fridays

Refuse collection on alternate Fridays. Bank holiday collections link. 
Blue lidded plastic & cardboard wheelie bin collection on different alternate Fridays to the refuse and garden collections.

Women Out Walking
WOW meets each month, 10am at the end of The Close, for a gentle walk and friendly chat. Details from Delcia Fussell on (01249) 750529. Walk dates below - please note that WOW walks are dog-free.

Fish & chips night at Kington St Michael Club, from 5pm to 8pm - to eat in or take away. Sausages, burgers, veggie burgers and chicken nuggets.  The Club now offers GLUTEN FREE fish and chips, on request. Please telephone in advance on Friday evenings from 5pm, on (01249) 750336.

Dog Training
Every Friday evening in the village hall; to book a place please contact Julie on (01249) 650062.

Saturday 19th August
Fundraiser for Julia's House
, 9.30am to 4pm at
Folly Row Café.  Join Miss Teen Wiltshire to raise money for Together for Short Lives; 30p from every hot drink sold will be donated to the charity along with the sales from selected cakes. All the money raised will go to the Wiltshire children's hospice Julia's House in Devizes, supporting children with life limiting illnesses.

Sunday 27th August:
Fun Family Day
, 1pm - 5pm on the QE2 field.  A fun day featuring soft ball (teams of 8), welly wanging, bouncy castle, a BBQ, bar, tombola, tug-of-war (8 per team), egg & spoon race, sack race, etc.  Prizes!  All welcome. (Tug-of-war form & rules)

Fun Day & Teddy Bears Parachuting,
2pm - 5pm at St Michael & All Angels Church.  Roller coaster, free flying bird of prey in the church, Teddy treasure hunt, children's fancy dress, ring the church bells, ice creams, cream teas and tasty treats, face painting and tattoos. Prize for best dressed bear.  In aid of FOSMAA.

Monday 11th September:
1. Film Night
in the village hall, showing "A United Kingdom" (Cert.12A), and starring David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7.30pm, with the main film at 8pm.  Tickets £7 on the door or in advance from Kington St Michael village shop.  Refreshments available; further information from Kay Sambell on (01249) 750205.

2. Paint & Prosecco Evening
in Folly Row Cafe, 7.30pm – 9.30pm. Join Jules Phillips from Shabby Fox Interiors for a chalk painting workshop and learn how to transform your objects and furniture whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of Prosecco. 1. Neighbourhood Plan meeting, 7pm in the village hall.  If you are interested in becoming involved with the formation of Kington St Michael’s Neighbourhood Plan, and/or would like to join the steering group, please come along.
