Mondays

Black box collection on alternate Mondays. Click here for the website giving details of collections.

Garden waste collections - if you have opted in to the chargeable garden waste collections these are collected on alternate Mondays. For further information see www.wiltshire.gov.uk/rubbish-collection-days.

Autumn Club, 2pm - 4pm on alternate Mondays (for dates, etc, please look at Autumn Club's page).

Bell-ringing, 7pm to 8pm in St Michael & All Angels Church. No strength needed, expert and safe tuition given, all free. Teenagers to pensioners – all ages welcome! Please call Diane for more details – 07768 053116.

Book Club, monthly at 11am in Folly Row Café - all welcome.  Details from (01249) 750887.

Tuesdays

Mobile library every 4 weeks (fortnightly at the school). This vehicle has full disabled access. It arrives at the Old Post Office, Stubbs Lane (near the telephone box) at 10.10am until 10.30am every four weeks. It also visits the school every fortnight on a Tuesday from 9.15am to 10am, where it is open to the general public (and schoolchildren during term time). Pilates on Tuesday evenings (apart from WI night - see "Dates For Your Diary"). Beginners at 6pm to 7pm and Improvers at 7.15pm to 8.15pm.  Contact sfppilates@outlook.com

Thursdays

Salsa classes, from 8.30pm in the village hall (please check dates below as Salsa doesn't run in the village hall when there's a parish council meeting). Beginners welcome. Run on a drop in and dance, pay-as-you-go basis by our instructor, Anthony. Bring your own refreshments and no stilettos please. Details from Linda Durno on (01249) 750514.

Fridays

Refuse collection on alternate Fridays. Bank holiday collections link. 
Blue lidded plastic & cardboard wheelie bin collection on different alternate Fridays to the refuse and garden collections.

Women Out Walking
WOW meets each month, 10am at the end of The Close, for a gentle walk and friendly chat. Details from Delcia Fussell on (01249) 750529. Walk dates below - please note that WOW walks are dog-free.

Fish & chips and curry night at Kington St Michael Club, from 5pm to 7.45pm - to eat in or take away. The Club now offers GLUTEN FREE fish and chips, on request. Please telephone in advance on Friday evenings from 5pm, on (01249) 750336.

Dog Training
Every Friday evening in the village hall; to book a place please contact Julie on (01249) 650062.

Tuesday 24th December:
Christmas Eve Service
in St Michael & All Angels Church - Holy Communion at 11.15pm (unfortunately the Christingle service has had to be cancelled).

New Year's Eve:
Live Music at The Jolly Huntsman, with Irish Band 'Henry Marten's Ghost' and traditional Fiddler. Special set menu, open until late.  Complimentary hot dogs shortly after midnight.  Happy hour - only £1 per pint for all draught lager, beer and cider between 11.30pm and 12.30am - free hotdogs served after midnight.  Admission is free - go along for dinner, for drinks or just to see in the New Year - all welcome.

:
WI, 7.30pm in the village hall, with a talk from  Burnard Purrier from the Whale & Dolphin Conservation.  The competition is for any representation of marine life (photo, model, etc).

Thursday 16th January:
Parish Council
meeting, 7.30pm in the village hall; all welcome.

Monday 20th January:

All Angels WI, 8pm in the village hall, for a fun evening of fitness.

Wednesday 22nd January:
Newsletter deadline.  Copy for the February/March edition of the newsletter should be submitted to Andrew Noblet by 10am, via a.j.noblet@phonecoop.coop

Monday 27th January:
1.
Autumn Club, 2pm in the village hall, with a 'Rescue dogs from Romania' talk by Hilary Anderson.
2. Film Night

Banish the January blues by coming along to the next village hall film night – film to be confirmed.  Doors open at 7pm, trailers start at 7.30pm and the main film starts at 8pm.  The film is shown on a large screen and refreshments are available.  Tickets £7 on the door or in advance from the village shop.

WI, 7.30pm in the village hall, with a talk on The History of Lydiard Park.  The competition is for 50 words on your favourite park/garden and why.

Parish Council
meeting, 7.30pm in the village hall; all welcome.

Tuesday 10th March:
WI, 7.30pm in the village hall, for the Annual meeting, with the election of President and committee, plus the presentation of the annual report and financial statement.  The competition is for a piece of vintage clothing or accessory.

Thursday 19th March:

Thursday 2nd April:
Annual Parish Meeting

Tuesday 14th April:
WI, 7.30pm in the village hall.  Cheryl Corcoran will talk about her life as a tour guide.  The competition is for your most unusual holiday souvenir.
