Mondays

Black box collection on alternate Mondays. Click here for the website giving details of collections.

Garden waste collections - if you have opted in to the chargeable garden waste collections these are collected on alternate Mondays. For further information see www.wiltshire.gov.uk/rubbish-collection-days.

Autumn Club, 2pm - 4pm on alternate Mondays (for dates, etc, please look at Autumn Club's page).

Bell-ringing, 7pm to 8pm in St Michael & All Angels Church. No strength needed, expert and safe tuition given, all free. Teenagers to pensioners – all ages welcome! Please call Diane for more details – 07768 053116.

Book Club, monthly at 11am in Folly Row Café - all welcome.  Details from (01249) 750887.

Tuesdays

Mobile library every 4 weeks (fortnightly at the school). This vehicle has full disabled access. It arrives at the Old Post Office, Stubbs Lane (near the telephone box) at 10.10am until 10.30am every four weeks. It also visits the school every fortnight on a Tuesday from 9.15am to 10am, where it is open to the general public (and schoolchildren during term time). Pilates on Tuesday evenings (apart from WI night - see "Dates For Your Diary"). Beginners at 6pm to 7pm and Improvers at 7.15pm to 8.15pm.  Contact sfppilates@outlook.com

Thursdays

Salsa classes, from 8.30pm in the village hall (please check dates below as Salsa doesn't run in the village hall when there's a parish council meeting). Beginners welcome. Run on a drop in and dance, pay-as-you-go basis by our instructor, Anthony. Bring your own refreshments and no stilettos please. Details from Linda Durno on (01249) 750514.

Fridays

Refuse collection on alternate Fridays. Bank holiday collections link. 
Blue lidded plastic & cardboard wheelie bin collection on different alternate Fridays to the refuse and garden collections.

Women Out Walking
WOW meets each month, 10am at the end of The Close, for a gentle walk and friendly chat. Details from Delcia Fussell on (01249) 750529. Walk dates below - please note that WOW walks are dog-free.

Fish & chips and curry night at Kington St Michael Club, from 5pm to 7.45pm - to eat in or take away. The Club now offers GLUTEN FREE fish and chips, on request. Please telephone in advance on Friday evenings from 5pm, on (01249) 750336.

Dog Training
Every Friday evening in the village hall; to book a place please contact Julie on (01249) 650062.

Kington Fieldfest
, 3.30pm - midnight on the QE2 Field. Live music, fab food, licenced bar and entertainment for all ages!  This is a free, but ticketed event - tickets available from Kington Club.

Speaker, Richard Pickitt, will give a talk on the history of bees.

Friday 5th July:

Saturday 6th July:
School Fête
, from 11.30am. There will be a wide range of stalls, bar and BBQ and the opportunity to win some great prizes in our raffle.

Tuesday 9th July:
WI, 7.30pm in the village hall - Warfare to Welfare with Mandie Cran.  The competition is for 50 words on “My inspirational woman” and why.

Sunday 14th July:
Annual buffet lunch
, 12.45pm for 1pm in the village hall.  Proceeds this year are going to Freewheelers (Bloodbikes).  Tickets available in June from Jenny Hayne.

Monday 15th July:
1. Autumn Club
, 2pm in the village hall.
Speaker, Alan Fisher, will give a talk on sailing for the disabled.

8pm in the village hall, for the summer party.

Fun in the Sun. Fun in the Sun is a free activity programme for 5-11 year olds, aimed at providing high quality sports coaching during the summer holidays for young
people. It has been held in Kington St Michael for several years now and has
proved very popular, with our take-up being one of the highest in the area.
This year's dates are all on Mondays from 2.30pm to 4pm on the QE2 Field
(if wet then in the village hall). Further sessions on August 5th, 12th & 19th.
More details to follow in due course.

Saturday 3rd August:
Flower, produce & craft show
, 3pm in the village hall, followed by an auction of produce at 4pm; entry by donation.  Please click here for a copy of the schedule and click here for the competition recipes.  Proceeds go the retirees' Christmas drinks and nibbles event. Run by KSM WI.

, 1pm - 5pm on the QE2 Field. Licensed bar, barbecue, soft ball, tug-of-war, bouncy castle, tombola, egg & spoon race, sack race, welly wanging and more. Prizes! Run by Kington Club.

All Angels WI, 8pm in the village hall; learn to make your own wax covers.

WI
, 7.30pm in the village hall, with music with The Village Choir.  The competition is for a limerick starting “She wanted to sing in the choir…”.

Saturday 26th October:
1. Halloween Party & Karaoke in Kington Club.  Fancy dress Halloween Party, 6pm in the Clubhouse Lounge, £1 entry.  fancy dress Halloween party, featuring wonderful magician and children's entertainer, Dave Hickory. Dave will bring along his disco and do balloon modelling.  Hotdogs wll be served.  Followed by...
2. Karaoke, 8.30pm in Bar 12 at Kington Club.  Go along for a fun evening's karaoke with DJ Dave.

Tuesday 13th November:
WI, 7.30pm in the village hall.  Susan Rivett will give a talk on the Casualties Union.  The competition will be announced on the night.

Monday 18th November:

All Angels WI, 8pm in the village hall; for a Christmas making evening.

meeting, 7.45pm in the village hall; all welcome.

Saturday 7th December:
1. Christmas Fayre
in the village hall - details to follow.
2. Christmas Meal
in Kington Club - details to follow.

Monday 9th December:
All Angels WI,
8pm in the village hall; making a Christmas table decoration.

Tuesday 10th December:
WI, 7.30pm in the village hall, for an evening cake decorating.  The competition is for the best decorated cake on the night.

Friday 20th December:
Children’s’ Christmas Disco, 6pm - 9pm in Kington Club.  Fun children’s disco for kids up to age 14.

Saturday 21st December:
Christmas Bingo & Draw
, 8.30pm in Kington Club.

Tuesday 14th January 2020:
WI, 7.30pm in the village hall, with a talk from  Burnard Purrier from the Whale & Dolphin Conservation.  The competition is for any representation of marine life (photo, model, etc).

Thursday 16th January:

meeting, 7.45pm in the village hall; all welcome.

Tuesday 11th February:
WI, 7.30pm in the village hall, with a talk on The History of Lydiard Park.  The competition is for 50 words on your favourite park/garden and why.

Thursday 20th February:

meeting, 7.45pm in the village hall; all welcome.

Tuesday 10th March:
WI, 7.30pm in the village hall, for the Annual meeting, with the election of President and committee, plus the presentation of the annual report and financial statement.  The competition is for a piece of vintage clothing or accessory.
