Established and managed by Sarah Meehan, a parent of two
children at Kington St Michael School. The
club officially opened on the 5th September 2016. Sarah is a
qualified childminder (Ofsted registered - last inspection: Good) and holds qualifications in
paediatric first aid, food safety for catering and child protection and
safeguarding. Prior to going into child care Sarah served in the Metropolitan
Police Service for 18 years, working in a variety of roles including Community
Officer and within the Public Protection Unit in Hackney, east London.
Kington St Michael After School Club is based in Kington
St. Michael Village Hall. The hall is also used by the local pre-school, Acorns,
and is an established location for child care. The hall itself dates back to
1866 and was originally a school, so this will is a fantastic way to celebrate
the hall’s 150th birthday by welcoming back local school children.
Children are walked from Kington St Michael school in
high visibility vests. The children enjoy dressing up, table tennis and
cooking.
